Lectionary

The La Sierra University Church Liturgical Service follows the Revised Common Lectionary, widely used among Christians of many denominations. The only significant change in our usage is that the texts have been moved to Saturdays, as we worship on the Saturdays as Sabbath. In most cases, the texts we use are simply one day before the dates listed in the Lectionary readings. On rare occasions (for example, every few years in Advent), the texts are several days off from the Lectionary.
